Why is good nutrition and physical fitness so vital to good health?

Health, nutrition and fitness are the three interrelated areas that determine an individual’s sense of happiness and well-being.

health
Health includes the physical, mental and spiritual levels of an individual. A physically healthy person is one who can perform normal daily physical activities and respond to emergencies without succumbing to fatigue or pain. The healthy aspect of health, nutrition, and fitness is achieved through a balanced program of good nutrition, healthy physical activity, continuing education, mental activities, and social and spiritual activities. Your choices about the food you eat and your physical activity affect your health in the short and long term (how you feel now and in the future). You may get plenty of food, but if it is not a proper balance of choices among the five basic food groups, you may be adding fat to your body without generating the energy to burn calories and energy for cells to do their jobs. Healthy physical activity helps burn any extra calories you consume, and keeps muscles and joints flexible and strong. Your efforts in continuing education (reading, attending seminars, as well as attending formal education classes), and spiritual activities (social activities, attending devotional services, meditation, etc.) provide you with a sense of accomplishment and well-being. An important part of good health is physical fitness and maintaining an appropriate body weight. Maintaining good health requires a nutritional diet, exercise to build and maintain muscle, and burning any excess calories.

feed
The nutritional health part of health, nutrition and fitness deals with the food we consume to maintain our health and provide energy to carry on our daily lives. Nourishment is the process of feeding or nourishing; The sum of all the processes a plant or animal uses to absorb and process nutrients to maintain a healthy life. A healthy nutrition lifestyle requires a well-balanced diet of foods selected from the five basic food groups, fruits, vegetables, natural calcium-rich dairy or calcium-rich products, whole grains and protein (lean fish, peas and beans). Other dietary factors must also be considered. Most fruits and vegetables are best eaten raw because heating destroys some of their healthy nutrients. Steaming and grilling food is better than boiling or frying foods. Preparing fresh fruits and vegetables is better than processed or prepared foods.

Prepared foods generally contain too much salt (sodium) and other flavor-enhancing substances. Some of these additives do not add any nutritional value to the food and may be harmful to your health. More nutritional factors to consider is the variety of fruits and vegetables in our diet. Nutritional data shows that dark green vegetables (lettuce, kale, broccoli, etc.) and orange vegetables (carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, and summer squash) provide more nutritional value than some less colorful vegetables. Here are more nutritional facts. Some foods contribute to burning fat. Green tea contributes to burning fat by increasing the metabolism in the body and increasing the energy level. Foods high in protein are more difficult to digest, so they require more calories to digest. Good nutrition practices may not be enough for some people, they may need unique supplements such as CoEnzimeQ10 or others.

Fitness
The physical fitness part of fitness, health and nutrition is being able to do daily activities, enjoy recreational activities, and have a healthy immune system to fight off disease and infection. Developing and maintaining good physical fitness requires a balance between good nutrition and a variety of physical exercise. There are components to fitness: specific physical fitness, ability to perform daily functions related to work or leisure, general fitness, ability to enjoy leisure time and feel at peace with the environment, willingness and ability to come to or avoid emergencies.

There are also three factors to achieving good physical fitness, good nutrition, exercise and rest (sleep). Nutrition keeps cells healthy and provides energy to perform exercises. Physical exercise can be used to get work done for a living, to participate in sporting events, to develop and maintain a healthy cardiovascular system, or to control body weight. Physical fitness and how to achieve physical fitness varies by individual. If a person is involved in a profession that requires vigorous activity and has good nutrition, then perhaps no other exercise is needed to maintain a fit body.

However, even people who work hard at their profession may need additional cardiovascular exercise to keep their heart and blood vessels in optimal condition. People whose profession does not require vigorous physical exercise requires special effort to achieve and maintain physical fitness. A good diet is the obvious starting point. Some easy things are to use the stairs instead of the elevators, park the car a little farther from the entrance to the office or store, get rid of the TV remote control, change channels the old-fashioned way, and walk near offices or neighbors instead of using the phone. These efforts will help, but more vigorous physical exercise is needed for a good physique.

For cardiovascular health, a routine of physical exercise over a period of at least 20 minutes three times a week is required. The best and most suitable cardiovascular exercise in general is walking. Swimming is another good cardiovascular exercise. Swimming also helps build and strengthen muscles. Another factor in developing and maintaining a physique is strength training to build and tone muscles and burn fat. Strength training is beneficial for weight control because it stimulates muscle growth even after you have completed your workout. This means that the body continues to burn fat for an extended period of time.

Psychological health
Mental health, as it applies to healthy nutrition and physical fitness, is the way we think, how we feel, and how we act when we interact with our surroundings. Our mental health contributes to our relationships with others, how we decide, make choices and how we deal with stress. People with good mental health are able to control their emotions, feelings, and behavior. Maintaining the mind through reading, playing games and an active social life contributes to good mental health.

spiritual health Spirituality can be defined as a sensitivity to or attachment to religion, or as a condition of a spiritual state. Some people ignore or overlook the importance of spirituality in relation to healthy nutrition and physical fitness, because they associate spirituality only with religion. Throughout history, man has struggled with the concept of spirituality. Spirituality is basically the struggle to become the most perfect person or individual. The way to achieve this goal may be through seeking external help through religion in some form, or internal through meditation and study of present and past human interactions. The above is based on personal study, experiences and observations throughout my life.
